The River of Lights: An Albuquerque Christmas Tradition

Every December since 1997, the River of Lights has transformed the Rio Grande Botanic Garden into a dazzling winter wonderland. More than 150 light sculptures and displays fill the 36 acres of the garden making it an amazing walk-through light show!

All of the sculptures and displays are hand-crafted by River of Lights artists and craftsmen. Some are animated; some are in 3-D. All are delightful! New sculptures and displays are added every year. There is a lot to see: snowmen, a sea turtle, trains, planes, plants, insects, birds, animals, trucks, and much more.
